Food Trip: A way to enjoy the Freeday with Tokyo Tokyo

This fastfood is one of the famous restaurant in the Philippines selling Japanese food especially  Bento. I visited this store during my restday from work after grocery shopping in SM Hypermart located at ground floor of Festival Mall. I always love to eat to restaurant which I haven't tried before.

 

I ordered Honey Chicken Teriyaki Bento with Red Iced Tea  (Php115) and  add-on of California Maki (can't remember the price) to complete my meal.

It has a sweet taste since it has honey and the stir-fried vegetables surfeit the sweetness to balance the meal. I am not a fan of California Maki but still a good stuff that add a different flavor to my meal. 

I hope I can still get some of my pictures from my teammate after we revisited another Tokyo Tokyo branch in Pioneer Forum Mall.

Pork Strips with Buffalo Sauce with stir-fried vegetables and red iced tea 

This store, which is located at the ground floor of Cybergate 3, Pioneer Mandalayong City, is one of my favorite fastfood booth. They are selling fried chicken and fried pork strips served with rice  and stirred fry vegetable as side dish plus free cup of red tea. There are different variant of sauce and you can choose one for free for the Php75.00 package.

What's good about it is that it has more rice (maybe more or less than 2 cups). As its name implied, this is very attractive and sound good to people who eat more than 1 cup of rice like me. 

Cheesy Garlic is perfect for those who loves the tandem of garlic and mayonnaise combine with cheese sauce. 

The Buffalo style sauce makes the Fried pork strips hot. You will buy extra rice because of the spicy taste and the little sweetness of the sauce. Aside from the flavor of the buffalo sauce, it is drizzled with mayonnaise which gives another flavor from the combination.

Another combination I love to order is Fish fingers with Kung Pao sauce with stir-fried vegetable and red tea taste. It taste the oriental flavors. The sweet and salty combination is showcase the Chinese distinctive cooking.

You will see some call center agents, employees and some friends from Cybergate 2, a long walk from the store location, are visiting Big belly's at Cybergate 3, because it is affordable, has big serving and the fantastic taste.

Affordable Tacos from Mugs & Pop

I tried some of the taco sold in small booth and in fastfood store. Let me share to you my own evaluation.

These taco are from a small booth from Starmall Alabang. Located at 2nd Flr Right side of the mall, near at National BookStore. The Store name is Mugs & Pop.

First thing that I love is the price because it is so affordable. For only Php 25.oo for crispy shell tacos, I dare to order one since it will not a waste of money if I regret about the taste. However, I found it very delicious and I realized that my money was placed to a very good food. 

So 2nd, which is the main factor to consider is  the taste. As I mentioned above, I spent my money to a good investment because I earned satisfaction. You will love the crispiness of the taco shell which is so thin, it's like a sheet of paper. It's the thinnest of all the taco shell I bought. For me, no special flavorings was added on the shell which is good because the salty taste of the meat, the lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and hot sauce really compliment each other. The hot sauce is mild but still you have the option to  not to add it.

The actual of color of the crispy taco is yellow.

     

I went back to try other tacos and buritos after some few days past. It is good that the girl offered  another version of tacos. Instead of crispy shell, she offer a soft shell tacos. It is like a pita bread because of the white color and texture but thinner than pita bread. It is like a burito rather than a taco if I will describe it. Also, still affordable for Php30.oo, However,  I still prefer the hard crispy taco above because the salty taste of the beef is missing when I have soft shell although it has the same filling. I also like the chili sauce added because i is not the overpowering. There is no need to rush to the drinking fountain to quench burning feeling in your mouth.

A gift from Greenwich had Overload our Tummy: Better than Any Other Christmas Pizza Party

I am checking some of my old pictures when I found a folder about the time that I won  on one of Greenwich FB/Twitter Contest.

It is so easy to join. I just tag 3 of my friends and share the link. That is already a valid entry. Then I am one of the winners of the contest. It is tag, share and win! That is very simple.

They notify me via twitter and email on how to claim the prize. It is good that they communicate with us because compare to other contests, if you will not check there page, you won't realize that you are one of the winners. Aside from that, it is great that they let us choose the nearest store location that is most convenient for us to claim the prize. I choose Festival Mall which is not far from my boarding house and where I usually buy my grocery and other stuff.

Since I had work scheduled last December 1 and I was so excited to claim my prize, that is why I requested my friend, Rodel Miclat, to claim it. However, I didn't know that he is also one of the winners. My plan for them (Miclat Family) to enjoy the pizza is a not a success because Rodel's prize is already overflowing. He had 4 boxes and I got 4 boxes of Barkada-sized Greenwich Special Overload. A total of 8 boxes. 

Ending, they let me bring my prize (the 4 boxes of Barkada-sized Greenwich Special Overload) to my work. I shared it to my teammates and wavemates. It is like my advance birthday pizza party since December is my birth month. I thought that there is shortage of slices but its not. Each person got 2-3 slices. Because of that, most of them got interested to join and they are asking a lot of information. They are following now Greenwich in Facebook.
